Augusto de Campos - Psiu ! (1965)

Ah ! le Brésil ! le pays de Ronaldinho et Pelé, de la samba, de la bossa et de la lambada, des indiens d'Amazonie et des jolies métisses aux fesses rebondies, Copacabana et caipirinha, le soleil, la mer, le Cristo-Rei, le carnaval et la coupe du monde de football. Mais le Brésil, c'est aussi la dictature militaire (1964-1985) contre laquelle s'est levé les musiciens tropicalistes, c'est le mouvement post-punk não-wave dans les années 80, c'est la poésie concrète des frères Augusto et Haroldo de Campos, c'est le baile-funk des favelas et la délicatesse de Villa-Lobos, sans parler de la mine d'inspiration pour quantité d'artistes. 90 minutes autour du Brésil, un seul mot d'ordre : FIFA Fode-se !

Les Residents sont un immense groupe non seulement par leurs propres créations, qu'elles soient musicales, audiovisuelles, graphiques ou plastiques, mais aussi par leur label RALPH RECORDS qui a abrité, lancé, appuyé, soutenu un nombre de groupes importants en sortant par exemple les premiers disques de Fred Frith (période post-Henry Cow/Art Bears), Snakefinger, Tuxedomoon, Renaldo & The Loaf ou Yello. 

On pourra entendre une reprise des Residents par Ptôse dont le morceau emblématique "Boule" est repris ensuite par les britanniques Renaldo & The Loaf. On pourra entendre le DJ amércain Penn Jilette raconter son expérience traumatisante d'écoute forcée des 10 ans de productions du label et on terminera l'émission avec deux reprises survoltées des Residents plus récentes.
